China has become the largest consumer of industrial robots for five consecutive years. Industry experts analysis, foreign enterprises rely on the first-mover advantage and technology deposition in the field of industrial robots occupy the first advantage, ABB and other four families occupy about half of the commercial proportion of industrial robots. In contrast, China's robotic enterprises are facing a shortage of professionals, the scarcity of central parts, and inadequate market acceptance. In this context, it is believed that the emergence of cooperative robots will bring new opportunities for domestic robots that are chasing hard.
Li Jianqiang, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and a researcher at the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told Sci-tech Daily that cooperative robots are a new research direction in recent years. "It focuses on the cooperation between robots and human beings. Perhaps robots and robots cooperate to complete the designated mission together."
The Blue Book of 2017 Collaborative Robot Operations Opening published by the Institute of Higher Industry shows that the annual composite growth rates of global cooperative robot sales and shopping malls are 74.71% and 71.23% respectively from 2014 to 2016.
According to the accounting of the China Robot Industry Federation, from 2013 to 2016, the proportion of domestic industrial robots has been around 25% to 32%, and the proportion is not significant. In the first half of 2017, the sales of domestic industrial robots increased by about 20% year on year, which is much lower than the growth rate of operation. "Collaborative robot is a useful way for small and medium-sized enterprises and enterprises with flexible production requirements to complete intelligent production, and it is also a time for domestic robotic enterprises to finish overtaking in the arcade."

Together, although the central technology of the robot industry in China needs to be strengthened, the complete industrial system in China makes the industrial chain of the upstream and downstream of the robot relatively perfect and is also conducive to the opening of cooperative robots.

Yi Jianqiang pointed out that although robots have opened up a lot in recent years and environmental perception based on artificial intelligence has made great progress, there are still some aspects lacking. There is more distance in identifying the intentions of the other side. Therefore, to complete robot cooperation in the chaotic environment, the scientific and technological circles, and the business circles need to work together.
